Library Information Centre

Library Information center (KIC MU) is specialized department with overall university competency established to co-ordinate development of library-information services at the Masaryk University.

Mission of the KIC MU is:

• determination and enforcement of priorities in library-information services development
• consultancy and co-ordination of central faculty libraries with aim at their mutual compatibility and interoperability
• representation of the university in national and international consortia, projects and activities
• development and maintenance of centralized library-information systems at the MU
• development of the Virtual Library at the MU with support of computer network and modern information technologies

KIC MU is department of the Institute of Computer Science MU. ICS MU provides technical, organizational and specialized support in the field of computer technology, communication networks and information technologies.

Members of the KIC MU are employees of ICS MU as follows:

• RNDr. Miroslav Bartošek, CSc.  -  head of the KIC MU
• PhDr. Hana Vochozková  -  university librarian
• Mgr. Vlastimil Krejčíř  -  electronic resources
• Mgr. Michal Růžička  -  library management system
• Mgr. Zuzana Řepišová  -  librarian - analyst
