Field of studyApplied and Environmental Geology

The newly prepared study field called Applied and Environmental Geology is designed for those who plan to work in a common corporate practice of geology. This study field is focused on gaining of full bachelor's degree, both in full-time form, and form of combined study. Education in this field includes the principles of the major disciplines of geological sciences (the theoretical basis), practical items (identifying specimens, field exercises), items related to the preparation of thesis and special items profiling graduate geologist for practical work in companies (applied courses, field documentation, sampling, writing reports). The study is completed passing the state exam, including thesis defense on practically oriented topic. Bachelor's theses may be submitted in Czech, Slovak or English language.
