Anotace

General goal of this project is equalizing of opportunities in higher education for students with disabilities in the Republic of Croatia through realisation of several specific goals of the project: - Enhancement of existing and development of new forms of support in equalizing opportunities for students with disabilities in Croatian universities; - Initiation of creating new national standards and guidelines for improving accessibility of higher education for students with disabilities (proposal for a national document); - Ensuring accessibility, sustainability and quality of systems of support for equalizing opportunities for students with disabilities in a higher education system in the Republic of Croatia. Specific goals of the project will be realized through following outcomes and outputs of the project: - Initiated university course Peer support for students with disabilities; - Created and distributed educational materials about possibilities of adapting academic surroundings to students with disabilities; - Educated and sensitized representatives of universities and their member faculties for enhancement of accessibility and quality of higher education for students with disabilities; - Created proposal for a national document - national standards and guidelines for the development of accessibility to higher education for students with disabilities and initiated a procedure for its adaptation.
