The Management of the University Campus at Bohunice is a special-purpose facility at Masaryk University, focusing on providing complex management of the entire University Campus at Bohunice including securing and organizing services common to all faculties as well as ensuring smooth campus functioning. The Management of the UCB is headed by a director.
The emerging university campus is the result of a construction project aimed at creating a modern university campus in Brno Bohunice. The project is scheduled for implementation between 2002 and 2010.
The programme has so far facilitated the renovation of existing buildings in the area of the future campus – obtained by MU at the end of the 1990s in the immediate neighbourhood of the Faculty Hospital Bohunice. The construction of an extensive complex was launched in 2004; the new buildings house the Faculty of Medicine, the biological and chemical departments of the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Sport Studies. The new campus is designed to accommodate 5,000 students and 1,000 academic and administrative workers.
