Popis The landslide susceptibility map can be used to determine and predict the stability of the road slopes. In this study, Geographical Information system (GIS) and information value approach based statistical analysis was used to generate landslide susceptibility map (LSM) along 91.5 km of an important road corridor in Bhutan. Lithology, slope degree, aspect, distance from faults, distance from road, distance from river and landuse were used as conditioning parameters. Area under curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) was conducted on the sample and a control group, to validate the performance of the information value method in determining the LSM. In addition, the control group landslides were overlaid on the LSM and it was established that 82 % of the landslide fall in high and very high susceptibility of occurrence. The resulting map obtained suggests that there is a high level of instability at lower altitudes in southern Bhutan.
