| Popis | The aim of this article is to identify differences in terms associated with a one-part sentence using the comparative method. It was found that the terms predicate and one-part sentence require a special comment for Czech students studying Russian and Russian students studying Czech: due to the difference in syntactic schools, interlingual interference is possible. The meaning of term “predicat” (predicate) in the Russian syntactic tradition is narrower than in Czech, and the concept “odnosostavnoye predlozheniye” (one-part sentence) in Russian is larger than the Czech one. In the Czech syntactic tradition, the terms naming a one-part sentence have many synonyms: Czech Bohemians and Czech specialists in Russian philology use several terms, in contrast to Russian syntaxists who use an established terminology. The results obtained will help not only students and teachers, but also translators working with linguistic terminology. |
