| Popis | A shape-persistent macrocycle has been successfully synthesized, which has a triangular shape consisting of phenathrene units in the vertices and bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane units in the sites. These building units were interconnected by ethynylidene linkers. Structure features of such macrocycle prevent its columnar packing and the compound forms membranes spontaneously instead. The membranes were studied by AFM on mica plate. |
