University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.
- All covid-19 policies related to entering the country have been suspended. See also current restrictions in the Czech Republic.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

Vice-Rector for Internationalisation Petr Suchý returned from South America a few weeks ago. Together with Rector Martin Bareš, he visited Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, where they learned about the management of universities and established or discussed the possibilities for future cooperation.

MU budget for 2024: record-breaking and growth-oriented
The Masaryk University budget for 2024 amounting to CZK 11.8 billion was approved by the MU Academic Senate at its 278th session on Monday. Compared to the previous year, the budget has increased by CZK 1.8 billion.

“Only in Brno”. International students can compete for the best photo from studies at Masaryk
At the beginning of May, Masaryk University announced a competition for international students for the best photo from their studies in Brno for the first time. The competition motto is “Only in Brno”, and students can send in their entries up to Sunday, 26 May.
