ANNOUNCES A CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSTDOC POSITION
5-Year Postdoc Position on the project „Rethinking Segregation within Schools: Ways of Spreading Positive Attitudes and Behaviors among Youth” at the Psychology Research Institute, Masaryk University in Brno, Czechia

Expected start: February 2026 / negotiable
Full-time position for 60 months
Project Focus
The candidate will conduct research that integrates social psychology and the social network approach to better understand segregation within schools—how it shapes the way people think about groups within their schools and how it influences the spread of attitudes and behaviors within and between groups. The postdoc will join a collaborative research team led by Dr. Tibor Zingora, dedicated to understanding how attitudes and behaviors emerge, evolve, and spread among individuals and social groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing studies
- Quantitative analysis of longitudinal social network data
- Coordinating longitudinal data collection and network interventions
- Preparation of publications for international journals
- Presentation at scientific conferences
- Realizing own research ideas within the scope of the project
Your Profile
- PhD in psychology, sociology, or a related field (e.g., economics)
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Czech not required
- High motivation with proactive and independent work ethic
- Strong quantitative analysis skills; experience with programming statistical software (e.g., R)
- Experience with social network analysis is an advantage
- Experience with methods such as Stochastic Actor-Oriented Models (SAOM) or agent-based modeling (ABM) is an advantage but not required

Conditions of Employment
Salary: 65,000 CZK/month gross (approx. 2,667 EUR/month), plus performance-based bonuses, and a possible relocation bonus.
