Our activities

Previous Following

Grant support

We provide methodological support for research grant schemes and open the way to the most prestigious international grants (ERC, MSCA PF, Teaming, Twinning...), organize educational events, offer personal consultations. We manage the Grant Agency of Masaryk University. We build a community of research managers.
PhD Centre

We methodically manage the agenda of doctoral studies and cooperate closely with the faculty departments responsible for the field. Within the MUNI PhD Academia, we are engaged in activities aimed at the all-round development of the competences of the actors of doctoral studies (doctoral students, supervisors, etc.) We administer applications for recognition of foreign education and qualifications in the DSP.
Scientometric support

We map the scientific environment and provide materials for research strategies. We create analyses of publication activity for the needs of the university, faculties or research teams. We use appropriate data sources and work with metrics responsibly and in context. We also provide bibliometric services on an individual basis.
Research evaluation

We manage research evaluation at the institutional and national level, speak out in the field of evaluation in the Czech Republic and participate in international professional communities. We coordinate quality assessment systems, monitor R&D performance and offer methodological support for reporting research activities.
Academic affairs

We provide habilitation proceedings and proceedings for the appointment of Professor (including accreditation). We organise academic ceremonies and Scientific Board of MU meetings. We administer honours, university prizes and prizes awarded by other institutions. We administer the Karel Engliš Grand Auditorium (University-wide auditorium).
Research infrastructures

We take care of research infrastructures (facilities, resources and related services used by the scientific community to conduct research in their respective fields). We manage an overview of Masaryk University's research infrastructures and its involvement in other infrastructures at national and European level. We coordinate the Council for Strategic Research Projects.
Science communication

We communicate science and research to the professional public and stakeholders involved in R&D at regional, national and international levels. We organise trainings and courses on self-presentation for researchers and PhD students. We cooperate with the External Relations and Marketing Office and the Communication Office on popularization topics and activities.
Research Ethics Committee

The Research Ethics Committee (REC) is an independent multidisciplinary body of Masaryk University and is a fundamental part of the system that ensures research quality and the observance of research ethics standards at MU. The projects of Faculty of Medicine are evaluated by its Committee.
