Czech Microcredentials Verification System Now in English
The microcredentials authentication and verification system Mikrocertifikat.cz now allows to display issued microcredentials not only in Czech but also in English.

The system, available at mikrocertifikat.cz, is one of the main outputs of the joint project Improving Access to Education at Universities through Microcredentials within the framework of the National Recovery Plan for Higher Education for 2022-2024, which involved all 26 public universities in the Czech Republic.

The microcredentials authentication and verification system was developed by the programmers from the Masaryk University (MU) Information System. It is linked to the MU central repository, which stores and maintains the digital records of all microcredentials issued by universities in the Czech Republic. Through a direct link or a QR code, it allows not only to view basic information (details about the holder, quality assurance, evaluation and a certificate preview), but also to verify the format, qualified electronic seal and time stamp and validity of the microcredentials.
The MU Information System launched the repository and the microcredentials authentication and verification system with the mikrocertifikat.cz website in Czech in June this year and to date has recorded over 600 issued microcredentials, almost half of which were issued by Masaryk University.
The English version of the mikrocertifikat.cz website has expanded the possibilities of its use in proving the achieved competences abroad or in issuing microcredentials to foreign lifelong learning participants at universities in the Czech Republic, for example within the framework of international university partnerships.
