She will study the original karst depressions in northern Oman. The findings will shed light on questions about the settlement of the Arabian Peninsula.
"Crete is an exceptional archaeological laboratory. It is a closed ecosystem, but at the same time an island large enough to exhibit the characteristics of a continent," says archaeologist Věra Klontza.
