Czech Radio Brno - excursion

The excursion to the studio of Czech Radio Brno will take place on Thursday, 6 February 2025, meeting at 14:50 in front of the building at 4 Beethoven Street.

Czech Radio Brno is the oldest, largest and most listened to regional station of Czech Radio. It began broadcasting on 1 September 1924 and has been based in its current building since 1950.
The building is one of the first Moravian examples of functionalism and was built between 1923-25 as a representative administrative building of the Czech Union Bank.
It represents one of the most significant realisations of the well-known Brno architect Ernst Wiesner.
During the excursion lasting about 60 minutes we will see the architectural details of the building, modern studios and the former bank vault.
