K. Malinka will present the basic cybersecurity challenges arising from both generative and non-generative AI. He will also introduce the basic principles of AI, the use of AI as an element of cyber defense and last but not least, he will focus on AI as a potential victim of cyber attacks. It will specifically address the development and implications of deepfakes technology. The aim is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of how deepfakes technologies work, what opportunities they present for creative and innovative use, but also what threats and ethical challenges they pose to society, industry and academia. It will show the different types of deepfakes, explore the methods of creating them, their possible uses, methods of detection and protection, and their impact on IT security.

Guest. Mgr. Kamil Malinka, Ph.D., FI MU graduate from 2005. He is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology and the head of the Security@FIT research group, which is primarily focused on computer security. His current research interests include security implications of AI and usable security.
