What will you learn?
The aim of the Business Economics and Management study programme is to provide students with a wider and deeper insight into the diverse spectrum of mechanisms for the operation of business entities - from small to multinational enterprises and corporations. Emphasis is placed on understanding how businesses operate as open systems existing in the global economy. The programme provides the necessary insight into the functioning of the knowledge and information economy (in the context of Society 4.0), supports the development of managerial, innovative and entrepreneurial skills and competences, including gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to work with economic and financial data and information. The aim of the program is also to acquire and deepen knowledge and skills related to information and communication technologies and project management. An important part of the study is devoted to psychological, socio-cultural, business and other communication skills, in particular verbal and written skills, and to learn how to communicate the arguments and attitudes, as well as the ability to negotiate and the ability to explain and persuade. Study of programme support teamwork, in particular by involving students in solving different projects within a large number of courses. Emphasis is also placed on the interactivity of teachers and students and between students, as well as on the acquisition of feedback - in the case of case studies and in discussions and defense of projects. There is also an emphasis on using the English language (in addition to having successfully completed another foreign language). Required courses include one subject in English, another course taught in this language is offered among compulsory electives courses and students may also study other compulsory, optional and optional courses in English. Compulsory and optional courses are taught as equivalents.
Practical skills are acquired in individual courses, in particular through the solution of real problems from practice, through the intensive involvement of practitioners and practical experience is gainedalso within the compulsory course Practice, or through foreign internships.
Practical training
The studies require the compulsory practical training of students in enterprises or in the organizations. Within the course Practice (practical training), three-week practice (120 hours) is rated by credits. In addition to this compulsory course, another possibility to gain practical experience is through foreign internships carried out through Erasmus + and via AISEC organization.
Practice is closely related to the coursess Diploma Seminar 1 and Diploma Seminar 2 due to the obligation to solve specific managerial problems from practice in the diploma thesis.

Career opportunities
The graduate of the programme is ready to work in middle and senior management positions of enterprises of various industries and sectors as well as sizes, including managing his or her own business.
Thanks to the both relatively wide-ranging as well as specialized focus of the studied courses, the graduates of the programme are qualified for various job positions including specialized functions (eg. marketing, business, logistics, controlling, etc.) Graduating from a Master's degree programme enables graduates to deepen the general knowledge base of corporate economy and management sciences and to link them with practical application. The demand for graduates with managerial and business-economics skills is nowadays very timely given the rapidly changing business conditions and growing competition. This requires managers and professionals with a broad insight and ability to apply expertise to everyday practice, to support other people in the same. At the same time, however, graduates of a Master's degree programme also need a deeper, specialized knowledge of selected areas of management and business economics, which this programme provides through the offer of the recommended optional courses. The overall universality of the study (including the previous Bachelor's) enriched with the possibility to focus according the own preferences and interest enables graduates to apply in a wide variety of diverse businesses (above all) and organizations and represents a significant competitive advantage of the programme.
