University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.
- All covid-19 policies related to entering the country have been suspended. See also current restrictions in the Czech Republic.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

MU received over 800 applications from Ukrainian students
The end of May also marked the deadline for submitting applications for the exceptional admission procedure opened for Ukrainian students. Masaryk University received a total of 816 applications.

Masaryk University’s Mendel Museum is celebrating the bicentenary of Mendel’s birth ahead of schedule with a new exhibition named ‘Genetics: The Wonderful Journey into the Cell Nucleus’.

MU will actively participate in addressing societal challenges
Masaryk University will lead the new National Institute for Research on the Socio-Economic Impact of Diseases and Systemic Risks. MU will also participate in all five projects under the EXCELES programme supported by the National Recovery Plan.
