30 Years of Freedom Festival

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, Masaryk University has prepared for the general public a series of events as a festival based on the relations between the past and present, which also reflects the development of the society from the Velvet Revolution to the present day. Its themes and topics are divided into three days and include film screenings, debates, exhibitions and book launches.
The programme is offered to the general public and the admission is free.
The project is prepared in cooperation with the Masaryk University Archive, Czech Television Brno, the Embassy of the United States of America in Prague, the Archive of Security Forces, the Institute for Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Student Endowment Fund of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. The project has received financial support from the Ministry of Education.
