Silence and hope
Ticho a naděje. Křesťanské prvky v literární tvorbě Marie Noëlové, Suzanne Renaudové a Sylvie Germainové

Václava Bakešová

The publication is dedicated to literary work of three French authors Marie Noël, Suzanne Renaud and Sylvie Germain. Their works extend to the entire 20th century and even beyond it. An important feature, which connects these authors, is the fact that all three of them are inspired by Christianity. All three allow the existence of God, the faith in him is part of their life, their work is often inspired by biblical themes and the Church’s tradition as well as by their personal prayer. The aim of the book is to find and evaluate the way how personal faith of Christian authors may influence their literary work and, more generally, how the influence of Christianity on literary production is being changed during 20th century and its reflection in literature during the entire 20th century.
