  • 23 September 2015

Each year, the StudyPortals organization issues certificates of satisfaction with studies at European universities based on the evaluations of thousands of students participating in a short-term study visit abroad. In the Czech Republic, the Masaryk University took the first place this year followed by the Czech Technical University in Prague and the University of Economics, Prague. The Masaryk University repeated its success from 2013. The Czech Republic as a whole ranked 9th out of the 18 rated countries. More here: http://goo.gl/FlcFhq.

“Internationalization is one of the long-term priorities of the Masaryk University. We have entered into hundreds of partnership agreements with universities in Europe as well as in other parts of the world and we keep expanding the offer of studies in English for exchange students and also for students who decided to earn their degree here," said Ivan Malý, Vice-Rector for External Relations.

Just the Erasmus+ programme brought 462 students from all over Europe, mostly from Poland, Spain and France to the Masaryk University in the 2014/2015 academic year. At the same time, there are 1,806 students in foreign-language programmes at the Masaryk University, mostly at the Faculty of Medicine. The total number of international students at the Masaryk University is 8,300; most of them are Slovaks who study in Czech study programmes.
