Exhibition of Jaroslav Pulicar: East of Brno

The exhibition East of Brno will present twenty black-and-white photographs by the Brno-based artist Jaroslav Pulicar. The selection will include photographs from Ukraine, Romania, Poland, and other countries, and the opening will include a commented projection of photographs where Pulicar will present his photographic methods and experiences from his travels. The exhibition will run until 31 May, during which time it will be complemented by other accompanying events in support of Ukraine, including readings, debates, and lectures.

During the 19th Century, Augustinian monastery at Old Brno represented the scientific and cultural heart of Moravian rebirth. The best-known authority of the phenomenon is Mendel, but also his less known brethren as poet Klácel, composer Křížkovský or journalist Šilinger, have to be mentioned in the same breath.
