About the Event
Dear colleagues, dear students,
We are delighted to invite you to two exceptional lectures by leading international experts in the field of reconstructive microsurgery.
Prof. Joon Pio Hong, MD, PhD of Asan Medical Center in Seoul, President of the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM) and a pioneer in the microsurgical treatment of lymphoedema, will present new approaches to the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease based on microsurgical connections between the lymphatic and venous systems using lymphovenous anastomoses.
Prof. Andrés Rodríguez Lorenzo, MD, PhD of Uppsala University, an internationally recognised expert in complex head and neck reconstruction, will focus on advanced approaches to the reconstruction of extensive head and neck defects, including endoscopically assisted free flap placement in skull base reconstruction and the surgical treatment of facial nerve palsy resulting from oncological resection procedures.
Both lectures will offer insights into new microsurgical and reconstructive approaches that expand treatment options and push the boundaries of modern surgery.
