The meeting of the academic community

Dear colleagues, dear students, members of the academic community of the Faculty of Science,

In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 3 of the Statute of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University (MU) (hereinafter referred to as the Faculty) and paragraph 10 of Annex No. 3 to the Statute of the Faculty, I hereby convene and invite you to the assembly of the academic community of the Faculty. The aim of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for discussions between members of the Faculty’s academic community and prospective candidates for the position of Dean. At this meeting, each candidate will make a brief statement, in accordance with paragraph 8, subsections (a), (d) and (e), of Annex No. 3 to the Statute of the Faculty, and subsequently take part in a discussion with members of the academic community.

The meeting of the academic community, which starts from 3 pm on September 30 2021, will be held in a hybrid form, i.e. both physically, in the auditorium in the Kotlářská complex, and virtually, through the MS Teams application. You can join the discussion using this link. The language of the meeting is Czech.

In connection with the election of the Dean, a discussion forum has also been set up in the IS MU, where you can ask the candidates questions up until the election.

I believe that your abundant participation will contribute to the dignified course of this event, culminating in the election of the Dean of the Faculty for the period 2022 to 2026 on October 18, 2021 by the Academic Senate of the Faculty.

in connection with the assembly of the academic community held on September 30th on the occasion of the discussion on the proposal for the appointment of the Dean of the Faculty for the period 2022 to 2026, I declare time off for all employees and students on September 30th, 2021, from 2 pm.
