Exhibition of Jaroslav Pulicar: East of Brno

Jaroslav Pulicar's photographs do not record the borderline situations so often captured by reporters, they are not about emigrants, wars, or killing. Yet Jaroslav Pulicar is a photographer of liminal moments. Viewers who visit the exhibition of photographs "East of Brno" can see for themselves. More than two dozen black and white photographs from Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and other countries will fill the Reading Room at the Faculty of Arts MU from 29 March.

The exhibition will remain in the Reading Room for two months, during which time it will be accompanied by debates, lectures, and author readings. Visitors can look forward to talks by Ukrainian scholar Petr Kalina from the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Faculty of Arts, or Eva Rusínová and Yana Dmyterchuk from the Cabinet of Czech for Foreigners of the Faculty of Arts, which has been organizing language courses for refugees since the second day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
