Aneta Chatzigeorgiu: Bioart. A case of hair stem metamorphosis

The unique interdisciplinary project: Bioart. A case of hair stem metamorphosis, created by Aneta Chatzigeorgiu will be exhibited in Edikula Gallery as a part of Mendel200 celebrations. The main question she dealt with was an utilization of burned human hair in art and genetics. In this project, she crossed a scientific experiment with bioart as well as a software with an organic material or even two types of organisms with human and plant genes. The most important results of her investigation of this transformation of information will be displayed in the gallery: a 3D print containing author’s hair ash and a photo documentation of a cultivation of the rare rose Herzogin Christiana, which she nourished with a suspension from her own hair ash and urine.
