| Description | In statistics of the incidence of occupational diseases in the Czech Republic health care occupies one of the top places. This article comments infectious and parasitic diseases of health care workers notified and recognized as occupational diseases in the Czech Republic in 2008-2010 in terms of their frequency, etiology and time trend. Various possibilities of prevention are described according to the means of transmission of microbial agents and the need to establish procedures to control the risks associated with exposure to biological agents at workplace is emphasized. |
