Description In this book the authors introduce basic technical and economic principles of energy industry. The whole supply chains of the four dominating fuels are covered - enabling readers to develop a sound understanding of exploration, production, processing, transportation and use of oil, gas, coal and uranium. The basics of electricity generation and transportation together with renewable energy sources are also included to provide comprehensive picture of contemporary energy industry. No previous background in engineering or economy is assumed, making this an ideal text for industry outsiders, who are interested in how it works.
