| Description | The chapter “The Content and the Form – Selected Aspects of Czech Dailies Transformation” points out that publishers try to reduce the decrease in circulation and impacts of the digital and online media competition by introducing changes into design and content of the newspapers. They prefer topics that increase sales. The existence of sister news webs also influence the content of Czech dailies. As far as the form is concerned, the main trend is visualization. Pictures and titles have grown bigger, the layout is arranged better, and graphical features enhancing readers’ orientation appear. The development of communication technologies is important – for example, all newspapers of the Czech quality press offer downloadable content. |
