Description The paper focuses on the importance of teaching ethics and economics for students and educators in our state. The focus of this work is focused on the contribution of Adam Smith to extend knowledge in both disciplines. The question of ethics is to focus the work: The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759) and the positive economics are specified in a discussion about the nature and origin of the Wealth of Nations (1776). Adequate attention is paid to the life of A. Smith. Extremely important was his trip to France and Switzerland, where had the opportunity to confront their views with the French fyziokraty (especially F. Quesnayem and A. R. Turgot). His work was based on moral philosophy lectures at Glasgow University.
