| Description | This study provides important new information about MT expression at the protein level in prostate cancer cells. The results of immunohistochemical and electrochemical analyzes that MT expression in malignant prostate cells down regulated compared to normal prostatic cell line. We attribute this effect rapidly reduced concentration of zinc ions, which is a normal situation in the prostate is relatively high. The exact explanation for this phenomenon is not yet known (Costello et al.). Therefore, in further experimental work we focus only on the MT but also the zinc transporters that this process plays an important role. |
