| Description | While in Bohemia, exact sciences had their firm central place at the university in Prague, in Moravia and Silesia, the situation was more difficult. University life in Moravia was moving between Olomouc and Brno, and since mid-19th century, exact sciences in Moravia lost its university background (technicum in Brno could not provide necessary facilities). Despite that, scientific achievements in Moravia cannot be reduced only to the individual personalities as Gregor Johann Mendel (1822- 1884). |
