Description The European Value Survey provides data allowing for answers to some important issues related to opinions and attitudes towards health and well-being of the adult Czech population. The issue of well-being is investigated both at the subjective and social level. The measure of subjective well-being refers to personal evaluation of life satisfaction and happiness in life, whereas social well-being includes general trust in people and participation in different voluntary organizations and activities. The main aim of this paper is two-folded. Firstly, we analyze subjective and social well-being among Czech population in an age comparative perspective with focus on the oldest generation (50+). Second, we test whether perceived health condition influences the expression of well-being.
