Description The authors deal with the problems of termination of labour relationship by the employer. They start their analysis from the general framework typical of the labour law as the special branch of private law. They point out the tendency of evolution of labour law influencing also some ways of termination of labour relationship. They also examine the international and european standards creating the limits of the termination of labour relationship by the employer. On the ground of general framework and the international and european standards they analyse legal regulation of the termination of labour relationship in the Czech Republic. They aim especially at the termination of labour relationship by the employer. They examine the conditions that are laid down for the notice given by the employer. They give attention to the requirement of ground when the notice is given by the employer from the point of view the fundamental principle of stability of the employment. On the ground of evaluation of all aspects they conclude that the notice given by the employer without ground is not acceptable.
