| Description | Present paper deals with selected problems of the first oration Against Catiline. It focuses on certain rhetoric and legal aspects of speech that were used by Cicero in the aforementioned oration. These observations are illustrated by fragments from other Cicero’s works as well as from Sallust and Lucian of Samosata. |
