| Description | The Changes in the landscape in the second half of the 20th century led to a decline in ecological stability; as a reaction to this fact, the concept of ecological networks has been introduced. It has evolved in the form of the Territorial System of Ecological Stability (TSES) in the Czech Republic. On the American continent, the concept of greenways is being developed. Although its initial functions were different from the functions of ecological networks, both concepts have recently been coming closer together. |
