Description The finds from the upper part of the Lower Travertin in Ehringsdorf (Ehringsdorf II) possibly come from the Early-Saalian interglacial according to the biostratigraphical and physical data. Horses from Ehringsdorf I are, however, more »primitive « and therefore somewhat older than Ehringsdorf II. The horses from Mosbach, Bilzingsleben, Schöningen and Ehringsdorf I form a defined unit and are closely related to each other in time. The horses from Schöningen probably belong to the period before the Early-Saalian interglacial.
