| Description | Open access competition determines railway transport to a large extent. As practical experiences are limited, it stimulated modelling and theoretical works designed to predict its results. These predict for example benefits for customers in form of better services because connections are provided with higher density and timetables are established with regard to time determined demand. The aim of this paper is to analyze development of basic traffic characteristics on the route Prague–Ostrava and compare them with theoretical predictions. |
