| Description | This paper recalls scholars who examined the relationship between Masaryk and Nietzsche: Urs Heftrich, Miloslav Bednář, Emanuel Rádl, Jan Patočka. The author argues that, for Masaryk, Nietzsche was one of the scholars who analyzed the crisis of modernity and the diagnosis he offered satisfied Masaryk's understanding of German philosophy and politics. This is why Masaryk found Nietzsche and his conception unacceptable. |
