Description Were carried out 3 research studies that have focused on the use of potentially addictive substances, addictive behavior and preventive activities at Masaryk University. Using questionnaires were approached by full-time students of all 9 faculties at University. The results showed that in the sample are the most commonly consumed alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, cannabinoids, to a lesser extent, hallucinogens, depressants and dance drugs. Normally operated activities are working with a computer, internet and mobile phone, which respondents mainly use to view web content, reading mail, chatting, movement in social networks, telephony and writing SMS messages. More than a fifth of the sample was at University addressed prevention of addictions, particularly respondents studied at the Faculty of Education and Medicine. Outside the faculties preventive activities occurred infrequently. In terms of prevention are used mainly monologue led lectures, they consist mainly the issues of alcoholism and nicotinism, lacks continuity and orderliness.
