| Description | This paper deals with grammatical characteristics of proper nouns that are typical for their communicational variants. It involves essential conclusions based on the examination of foreign oikonyms declension, the issue of singular genitive forms of foreign masculine oikonyms is used as an example. Its conclusions are based on extensive research of texts within the SYN2010 and SYN2005, SYN corpora, which show the usage of contemporary written Czech. When analysing the material, the main factors affecting the integration of this group of foreign oikonyms into to the declension system of written Czech were defined. |
