Description Paediatric clinical arrhythmology and electrophysiology developed into an important and independent subspeciality of paediatric cardiology within the last 30 years. This last edition of monography reflects the fast clinical and technological development in the field of diagnostics and treatment of arrhythmias in children and adolescents. The book in particular chapters summarizes basic knowledge about origin, recording and description of child electrocardiogram and about causes, diagnostics and treatment of arrhythmias. Finally, it focuses on the description of physiological cardiac rhythm and on particular types of arrhythmias. An extensive attachment stating, in a condensed form, physiological values of the ECG record and cardiac rhythm in children is a part of the monography. Information and practical guides to particular diagnostic and therapeutic methods cum doses of atiarrhythmic drugs are also included. The book is intended for paediatric cardiologists, paediatrics, neonatologists and paediatric anaesthesiologists, further to cardiologists for adults who deal with hereditary cardiac defects in the adulthood and to gynaecologists who are engaged in the prenatal cardiology. However, the book may be also interesting for medical students. This publication includes over 100 ECG records, 21 line drawings, 17 photos and 30 graphs and tables.
