Description Lectins from opportunistic human pathogens are the main focus of our research. Important goal is not only to study lectin binding properties by using different experimental techniques such as surface plasmon resonance or isothermal titration calorimetry method but also to investigate the structure of lectins by X-ray crystallography, analytical ultracentrifugation or circular dichroism. Thus, a combination of the functional and structural studies can bring a significant profit for better understanding the basic principles of the lectin-carbohydrate binding process, which is still important task and can be helpful in biomedical or biotechnology.
