Description The chapter deals with the question whether there is also a male baby fever that can trigger of reproductive behavior. It elaborates ideas of Finnish sociologist Ann Rotkirch who was the first to deal with the issue. We replicated her research on a representative sample of Czech population. The results show that the baby fever is relatively well spread not only among females but also males: there were 75% of female respondents who experienced that feeling during their reproductive age, the corresponding share for male was 53%. The baby fever was associated with the number of children, the correlation was more pronounced among males than females. On the whole, our research confirmed that baby fever is emotional feeling that is present in a certain period of human life cycle and that it is one of the affective stimuli of reproduction.
