| Description | The study deals with the relationship between academic procrastination and locus of control. It builds on studies investigating this relationship, which bring mixed results. On-line questionnaires of locus of control and academic procrastination were used. Respondents were randomly selected college students of one faculty. Of the 145 asked students, 100 fully completed questionnaires. Correlation analysis did not revealed a statistically significant relationship between the studied variables. The assumption that internality / externality locus of control correlates with academic procrastination is not confirmed. The results are compared with the results of foreign studies. The study also mentions some specifics of academic procrastination and proposes directions of research in this area. |
