Description The publication follows the life stories of several Moravian journalists (A. J. Kožíšek, J. Pelíšek, L. Zeman, and others), who at the time of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia combined their careers with the occupying power. What have the selected group of journalists in common is that after the end of WWII, they were all forced to stand trial before the National Court and awarded various sentences for the criminal offences committed at the time of the Nazi occupation. The study focuses of their social background, education, political preferences, and career path before and after the occupation, particularly emphasising the motivations that resulting in pursuing the prominent positions in the Protectorate press. At the same time, the text differentiates between the actions of the examined group of journalists, having a collaborative nature, and the procedures that may already be labelled as treason.
