| Description | Autonomous learning is based on metacognitive skills that are further developed in the process of learning. It is an approach, rather than method of learning, which influences the perception of the learner as well as the role of the teacher. The article illustrates the possibility of implementation of autonomous learning in real school situation, through a language course offered to university students as an alternative to traditional courses. |
