| Description | This paper is opened with reminding of contemporary society and its normative systems. Attention is paid to the law which is viewed as regulator of the current globalized society and as a guarantor of the so-called universal values. The text also focuses on the social values of postmodern society and their relationship to mediation. The author presents models of law and culture and set mediation in contemporary culture in which trust in the legal system and social institutions is socially stratified according to status inequalities. |
