| Description | The basic literary work of the Lithuanian literature - Metai (The Seasons) by Kristijonas Donelaitis - remains also one of the greatest mysteries of this literature. We know neither exact dates of its creation, nor the intended composition: whether Metai was composed as one and coherent text or as four independent poems. So how we can approach this work of art? What instruments does modern philology have to analyze it? And what results could we expect by applying those instruments? |
