| Description | In this paper we are going to investigate one of the most intriguing types of sets of circles in the plane, which is the coaxal pencil of circles. After a brief introduction of the concept of a power of a point with respect to a circle we will discuss pure geometric approach of how to define coaxal pencil building on the knowledge of the circle of Apollonius. For comparison we will also present the coaxal pencil of circles using the language of analytic geometry. |
