Description The aim of this study was an evaluation of root and foliar uptake of 14C-fluoranthene and to assess its translocation and distribution in different part of pea seedlings (Pisum sativum). Transport and distribution of 14C-FLT was monitored in plants that were colonized by aphids (Myzus persicae Sulzer). Monitoring was done during 48 hours of cultivation after uptake from the Richter nutrient solution via roots or spot application on the second developer leaf. The results indicate a fast transport of 14C-activity both after absorption by root and leaf and generally the quick (within two hours) distribution of 14C-activity from reception point to other parts of the plant, especially to the phloem and to aphids.
