Description Syntectonic hydrothermal veins are widespread throughout sedimentary sequences of the Nízký Jeseník Upland. The veins are mainly made up of quartz, calcite and chlorite. We chose two localities for fluid inclusions study (Valšov – active greywacke quarry; Břidličná – abandoned shale quarries). Both localities are situated on western margin of the Nízký Jeseník Upland. There were measurable only pseudocesondary two-phase fluid inclusions (with aqueous solution and vapor phase). Homogenization temperatures vary between 115 °C to 350 °C. The eutectic temperatures (about -21.2 °C) suggest chemical system of the fluids – H2O-NaCl. The salinity of the fluids is low – 0.5 to 8.3 wt% NaCl eq. The temperatures obtained from chlorite geothermometry (175 °C – 285 °C) correspond to the temperatures obtained from microthermometry.
